As their desires intertwine, unexpected consequences unfold, exploring the complexities of wishes, consequences, and the responsibility of storytelling!
Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles - GMCLA's Rhinestone Cowboys
Glenn Campbell forgive us – It’s time for Country Music to get the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles treatment! Turn the dial up, get out your sequin-studded hats and boots, and head on down to the Saban Theatre. GMCLA’s 200 fabulous singers will sashay and sway to the legends, ladies, and icons of Country – Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Shania Twain, Johnny Cash, Chris Stapleton, Taylor Swift, and more! We’ll also spotlight today’s hippest and gayest artists and allies who are revolutionizing Country – Beyoncé, Brandi Carlile, Shaboozy, Lil Nas X, and Chappell Roan. There will be new surprises and some old favorites to round out the party. Rhinestone Cowboys will be one for the record books!
Desert Fringe and Cultural Arts Festival
Taking place March 28-30, 2025 in 29 Palms CA at various locations, the festival explores the work of visual and performance artists, and musicians. Spend a weekend exploring this artistic hub of the Morongo Basin. This event is proudly supported by the Visit 29 Palms Sponsorship and Event Grant Program.
Alabaster
June lives alone in a small farmhouse in Alabaster, Alabama, three years after a tornado killed her family. June is covered with scars from the catastrophe, with only her two goats, Weezy and Bib, as companions. A play about healing and the power of women.
The Unraveling
The Ghost Road Company Presents World Premiere of The Unraveling at the Broadwater Mainstage March 8-30 Inspired by the mythical character of Circe, Ghost Road’s latest work centers around an aging Classics professor who escapes from the society she has come to despise to isolate herself on a remote mountain.
Independent Shakespeare Company - Hamlet (Solus)
Hamlet gets a radical reinvention! Hamlet (Solus) is an audacious, post-punk theatrical event starring David Melville, one of LA's most prolific Shakespearean actors. This virtuoso solo performance navigates between grief and humor, offering a deeply personal take on Shakespeare's text. Playing March 6 – April 13.
Victory Theatre Center - Four Women in Red
The Victory Theatre Center present the World Premiere of Four Women in Red by Laura Shamas A provocative play about four resilient women who search for their missing loved ones. In Anishinaabe lands, apathetic sheriffs are unable to help four First American women find their missing sisters, daughters and loved ones who have disappeared. The rollercoaster journey involves suspense, mystery, prayer and joy. When one family gets some news, will it tear this group apart? Ultimately, the four women forge a new path forward together.
